Workstation (1) consists of a rectangular worktop (10) at the front, a trapezoidal shaped worktop (11) behind worktop (10), and two telescopic legs (2) which are joined to horizontal stands (5) at the bottom. Worktop (10) can be adjusted in height by a lifting mechanism consisting of a drive wheel, a chain or serrated belt, a sprocket and a return pulley and is located inside the legs (2). The second worktop (11) is connected to the lifting mechanism by several movable joined bars (13, 17, 18, 19). Both lifting mechanisms can be operated with the same handle (12) at the front.
