PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display with high luminance by providing a display panel having a phosphoric layer where one color is constituted of plural phosphoric materials being different in exciting spectrum for indicating an exciting wave length-light emission strength characteristic. SOLUTION: The plasma display is the one provided with the display panel having the phosphoric layer where one color is constituted of the plural phosphoric materials being different in exciting spectrum for indicating the exciting wave length-light emission strength characteristic. In the display panel, an address electrode and a partitioning wall are formed on a back surface plate glass and, then, the phosphoric layer is formed. The laminated structure of (Y, Gd) BO3 :Eu and (Y, Gd) (P, V) 04:Eu or their mixture are used as a red phosphor. Then, a voltage is impressed on a cell that light emission is desired so that plasma electric discharge occurs. The phosphors 1 and 2 are excited by an ultraviolet ray (exciting light) which is generated by the electric discharge and the phosphors emit visible light. An image is displayed by the light emission of the desired cell by a desired color. |
