An inlet port (71,76,77,95) for fluid and air is positioned in front of the shaft or spindle bearing (16) in the rear of the device resulting in short distances between the bearings (32,61,62) and a reduced overall size. In particular the transversally arranged inlet port is positioned between two such bearings (61,62) like a roller bearing or a shock absorbing bearing for a solid shaft (15). The arrangement is especially suitable for ducts with a small central tube (26) transporting single drops of a lubricant which are mixed with air at the outlet (46).
