PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the stability in the sheet feeding operation by eliminating the risk of erroneous jam sensing resulting from a slip in sheet feeding. SOLUTION: A color image forming device works in three modes, an ordinary paper image formation mode, OHT image formation mode, and high-gross paper image formation mode. These modes are entered by the operator into a CPU 61 from the operation part 60. The CPU 61 makes the setting of the sheet 2 feed start timing on the basis of the properties of the sheet material obtained by the entered information from the operation part 60 and makes adjustment so that the time until the sheet 2 reaches a registration roller couple 8 becomes constant. That is, three types of paper, ordinary paper, OHT and high-gross paper, are sensed by a pre-registration sensor 53 at the same timing. |
