PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coatings used for high strength bolt joining method capable of imparting a high friction coefficient without needing a high-level chaplet and without causing a porous film. SOLUTION: Before joining, a coating material, containing a binder of 5-20 wt.% having a mixing weight ratio (25:75) to (100:0) between a organic binder, which consists of at least one kind of synthetic resins selected from polyurethane resin, alkyd resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin and a hardener, and an inorganic binder, zinc powder or zinc alloy powder of 50-90 wt.% having an average particle size of 1-30μm and a particle size of >=2μm for 50 wt.% or more and a pigment of 1-40 wt.%, is coated, thereby a coated film of 5-300μm dry film thickness is formed.
