PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst member and an air purifying method effectively utilizing a light exciting the photocatalyst by using a mesh-shaped photocatalyst member compact and excellent in permeability with respect to the air purifying method decomposing and removing a harmful material such as malodor material and bacteria in the air by a photo-oxidative decomposing function of the photocatalyst. SOLUTION: Two sheets of mesh-shaped photocatalyst members 3 and 4 in which a space between warp thread with each other is equal and also a space between weft thread with each other is equal, preferably the mesh-shaped photocatalyst members 3 and 4 in which the width W of one side warp weft threads and the width X of the other side hole have a specified relation are arranged while spacing out a distance T, preferably, a specified distance between the two sheets so that one side warp thread may be located to shield the other side hole 2 and also one side weft thread shields the other side hole, and the mesh-shaped photocatalyst members 3 and 4 which become one pair of two sheets are prepared and this photocatalyst members 3 and 4 are irradiated with the light exciting the photocatalyst and the air is passed through the photocatalyst. |
