CRIMPED YARN FOR KNIT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crimped yarn for knit capable of suppressing torsion, etc., of products without worsening yarn banding in subsequent processing steps and provide a method for producing the yarn. SOLUTION: This crimped yarn for knit is a false twist processed yarn comprising a non-circular polyester multifilament having 2-7 deformation degree of single yarn cross section and torque twist number of the processed yarn is 10-35 t/50 cm. The yarn is produced by subjecting a non-circular polyester multifilament undrawn yarn having 2-7 deformation degree of single yarn cross section to false twist processing in a false twist number (T/m) of 26500/√D to 34900/√D (D is total fineness after false twist processing) at 170-250 deg.C heater temperature and then subjecting the treated yarn to heat setting treatment at 140-230 deg.C.
