摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of being substituted for a metal raw material in view of its specific gravity, easily molding a molded article having a high accuracy in its specific gravity and useful as a balance weight by kneading and granulating a heavy metal powder with a thermoplastic resin powder in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This method for producing a high specific gravity resin composition is to knead and granulate (A) preferably 82-96 wt.% heavy metal powder consisting of one or more kinds selected from tungsten, gold and platinum and having 1-15μm mean particle diameter with (B) 4-18 wt.% thermoplastic resin powder such as a polypropylene to obtain an objective composition useful as a balance weight, etc., of a needle of an instrument for a speed, etc., of an automobile, a motorcycle, etc. As the component A, it is preferable to use 2 kinds of powders having a difference of >=5μm means particle diameter at the same time.
