The invention concerns a mat 10 which is intended for an elevator conveyor and which is provided with successive members 12'a, 12'b, 12'c .. 12''a, 12''b, 12''c etc. placed on both edges of the mat and intended to grip the material which is to be conveyed. The mat comprises a separate support 11 which constitutes a pulling member and a support for the successive members 12. The stability in the lateral direction of the mat has been provided: i) by means of transverse members 15a, 15b, 15c, etc. which connect the successive members arranged on the edges, or ii) by means of a construction on the support which at least partially connects the edges of the mat, or by application of both alternatives i) and ii). According to the invention, the successive members 12 comprise a fixed part 13 resting against the support 11, and a part 14 which follows the plane of the support 11 and which, in the rest position of the mat, can form a small angle with the plane of the support. The successive members 12 are fixed on the support 11 at such a distance from each other that the part 14a which follows the plane of the support at each member 12a partially bears against a corresponding part 14b of the following member 12b. The successive members 12 preferably comprise a pin part 16 which sticks up from the part 14 which follows the plane of the support, which pin part forms a considerably greater angle to the plane of the support than does the part 14, which follows the plane of the support. <IMAGE> |
