SUBSTANCE: composition material contains particles of refractory compound of fissionable material distributed in metal matrix containing element selected from group including zirconium. Matrix contains additionally one of elements taken from group including aluminum niobium with the following amounts of matrix components, wt.%: for composition of zirconium and aluminum-zirconium 56-97 and aluminum 44-3; for composition of zirconium and niobium- zirconium 95-99, and niobium 5-1; and with the following amounts in material of fissionable and matrix components- fissionable component 60-75 vol.%, the balance, matrix component. Claimed composition material contains fuel component in amount up to 75 vol.% with provision of high operating characteristics (geometric stability, burning- out, compatibility of nuclear fuel with matrix material) and use of materials featuring low capture cross-section.
