<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid lowering of a utility rate or voltage characteristics, and improve service life by performing an open-circuit leaving of an electrode plate or electrode plate group after chemical synthesis charging in a discharged state in an electrolyte, including at least one selected from polysaccharide, chelate agent, hydrazine sulfate and a derivative thereof. In this battery, two positive electrode plates of 3 Ah per piece in theoretical charge quantity, respectively, and three negative electrode plates 4 of 2Ah piece are empolyed to make 3 Ah in nominal capacity. This battery is composed of a positive electrode terminal 5, a negative electrode terminal 6, and a safety valve 8 or the like, and a rare sulfate of an electrolyte is structured of being impregnated in a separator 7. Polysaccharide that is a highly effective component or a compound selected from among a group of mannit, mannon acid or the like as a derivative thereof is included. Although these components are not a chelate agent, they are lead-ion coordinated in a rare sulfate to change solubility or active quantity of a lead ion. The chelate agent and its derivative include nitrilo tri-acetate or like.</p> |
