The metal window frames (7) are placed on intermediate protective sheets (6) on pallets (4). The machine has a gantry hoist (2) on wheels (9) which run in a frame (1). The pallets (4) are delivered via a roller conveyor (3). A chassis (8) is lowered to pick up the metal frame (7) with electromagnets (10). Suction caps (12) are lowered to pick up the intermediate sheet (6). The sheet is transported to the store (5) and the frame returned to the pallet.
