PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and inexpensive optical pickup while sufficiently securing an optical path length from a light source and an optical disk device using it. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup 20 containing a light converging means 26 converging a light beam emitted from the light source 21 on a signal recording surface of a rotation driven optical disk 11, a beam splitter means 24 arranged between the light source and the light convergent means and a photodetector 29 having a light receiving part light receiving a return light beam from the signal recording surface of the optical disk split by the beam splitter means, an optical element 23 provided with an optical path bending reflection surface between the incident surface and the emission surface of the light beam from the light source and having a curvature so that at least one side between the incident surface and the emission surface is provided with a lens effect is arranged in the optical path of the light source. |
