PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely conduct a power supply switch operation when an AC power supply is cut off, by conducting a shutdown processing after driving a test switch to allow it to switch the supply of power from a DC power supply to a built-in battery power supply. SOLUTION: In the case that AC input is cut off, an input power rectifier section 11 detects the cut-off of AC input and notifies a power supply control section 16 of the cut-off of AC input to allow it to display that information. At the same time, the input power rectifier section 11 notifies a switch section 14 of the cut-off of AC input to allow it to switch the supply of power from the DC output from an AC-DC converting section 12 to the battery output from a battery section 13 and then to output the power to a DC-DC converter section 15. When the power supply control section 16 is notified that the cut-off of AC input is detected, it displays an alarm on an alarm display 17 and then notifies the CPU 22 of the status of the cut-off of AC power through an analysis control unit 21 of a logic section 20. Then, the CPU terminates a job being currently processed and starts preservation of data temporarily stored in a storage unit 23 during processing of the job, by transmitting the data to magnetic disc units 32, 33 for a shutdown processing wherein the system comes to a stand-by condition at the time of completion of data preservation. |
