<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the scanning speed of FM-CW radar equipment by shortening the signal processing time. SOLUTION: A signal processor for an FM-CW radar is provided with radar equipment 1 which forms beat signals composed of received signals reflected from a plurality of targets and its transmitting signal, an A/D-converting section 3 which sets one sampling frequency of the beat signals at a rise time and fall time to the half of the other sampling frequency at the time of converting the beat signals into digital signals from analog signals, a frequency analyzing section 4 which halves the numbers of samples collected from the beat signals set to the half sampling frequency at the time of performing frequency analysis on the beat signals at the rise time and fall time, and a target finding section 5 which detects a return peak frequency from the analyzed results of the frequency for which the half sampling frequency is set and finds the distance, etc., to the target by converting the return peak frequency into the peak frequency when no return peak frequency exists and pairing the converted peak frequency with the peak frequencies at the rise time and fall time.</p> |
