<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation supporting mechanism, which efficiently prevent the scattering and the outflawing of lubricant, a spindle motor and the magnetic disk device having the mechanism and the motor. SOLUTION: A pivot 42 of a spindle motor 18 is erected on a motor bracket 40 and a hub, which functions as a rotor, is provided surrounding the pivot 42 and is supported freely rotatably by a pair of ball bearings 48a and 48b. Plural magnetic disks 16 are fitted to the outer periphery of the hub. Fine spacings 60a and 60b are provided between the hub and the bracket 40 to form a labyrinth seal. A fist chemical filter 62a is provided between the ball bearings and the spacing 60a and is made adjacent to the spacing. A second chemical filter 62b is provided between the ball bearings and the spacing 60b and is made adjacent to the spacing.</p> |
