PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability, accuracy, and working efficiency of laser processing by simply and accurately deciding the moving position in a height direction of a nozzle. SOLUTION: A work processing position WP against a laser beam axial center position on a surface of a work W is detected by an image pick-up means 13 provided to a laser processing head 9. The work processing position WP against a laser beam focal position in a height direction is detected by a focal position detecting device 21 or a contact type sensor 23. Since the focal position is displayed by a display means 19 based on the detected signals detected at the image pick-up means 13 and the focal position detecting device 21 or the contact type sensor 23, any operator can simply and accurately match the laser beam focal position with the work processing position WP. |
