PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the mounting structure of a plurality of high pressure fuel pumps in an engine where a crankshaft is longitudinally mounted, by mounting a plurality of high pressure fuel pumps driven by a pump driving unit which is driven by an engine, and comprising a high pressure adjustment valve and a fuel supply rail on the discharging side. SOLUTION: In a cylinder injection V-type six-cylinder two-cycle engine where a crankshaft 10 is longitudinally mounted, of an outboard motor 1, a pump driving unit 40 connected to the crankshaft 10 is mounted, and two high pressure fuel pumps 32, 34 are driven by this pump driving unit 40. The fuel in a vapour separator tank 29 is preloaded by a fuel suction booster pump 30 mounted inside of the tank 29, and then pressed by the high pressure fuel pumps 32, 34. The pressured high pressure fuel returns the excess fuel over the set pressure to the vapour separator tank 29 by a pressure adjustment valve 35, so that only the desired amount of high pressure fuel is supplied to a fuel supply rail 33 to supply the same to the fuel injection valves 13 loaded on the cylinders 7a-7f. |
