RAW MATERIAL FOR OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR AND PRODUCTION OF OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raw material for an oxide superconductor having a high critical current density and to provide a method for producing the oxide superconductor using the same raw material. SOLUTION: The raw material for oxide superconductor is characterized by replacing 5-12 atomic % of Sr element in raw materials for a Bi-based oxide superconductor mixed so as to provide 1.7:0.3:2:2:3 elementary composition of Bi:Pb:Sr:Ca:Cu except oxygen element of the oxide superconductor. The method for producing the Bi-based oxide superconductor is to use this raw material.
