摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a foreign material pinched in power window equipment which stops the detection of insertion when a normal pulse edge interval of the two-phase pulse cannot be obtained. SOLUTION: This equipment has a window opening and closing motor 4, a motor drive section 3, a pulse generating section generating a two-phase pulse, an MCU 2, and a switch device 1; the MCU 2 detects motor torque from the pulse edge interval of the two-phase pulse when opening or closing the window, compares the motor torque to a preset sum, judges that a foreign material has been caught when the motor torque exceeds the sum, and performs the stopping of motor 4 or reverse driving in this detecting method for power window equipment. Thus, a timer 14 is arranged, which newly sets a time every time when the pulse edge of two-phase pulse arrives at the MCU, and the MCU 2 stops the judgment on the presence or absence of the foreign material in the window if a subsequent pulse edge does not arrive even a set time of the timer 14 has elapsed after the arrival of one pulse edge of teh two-phase pulse.
