Cylinder equalisation method for internal combustion (IC) engine direct fuel injection

The method involves determining the rotational speed of the crankshaft of a combustion engine in the quasi-stationary operation state of the combustion engine. The rotational speed value is corrected using a mean value filter having a zero group delay. The change of the kinetic energy of the crankshaft in the expansion interval of the cylinder is calculated using the corrected rotational speed values. A relative measure is derived for each cylinder and includes information about too much or too little injected fuel. A correction term is calculated for the injection time using the measure.
