The invention relates to a method for producing styrene polymers containing water as only inflating agent by polymerising styrene in an aqueous suspension. Polymerisation is carried out in the presence of between 5 and 30 weight % recycled EPS dissolved in styrene, which contains the usual coating agents originating from EPS production.
