摘要 Vapor phase crystal growth process for bismuth-strontium-calcium-copper oxide thin films comprises growing a bismuth-strontium-copper oxide thin film in a bismuth-rich environment and then depositing and reacting with calcium and copper atoms. A vapor phase crystal growth process for Bi2Sr2CanCun+1O6+2n thin films (n = an integer of /-1) comprises (a) growing a Bi2Sr2CuO6 thin film in a bismuth-rich environment under conditions avoiding pure bismuth oxide formation; (b) accumulating Ca and Cu atoms on the thin film in an amount of n/2 times the number of Sr atoms in the Bi2Sr2CuO6 thin film; and (c) raising the temperature above that used in step (a) to react the Bi2Sr2CuO6 thin film and the accumulated Ca and Cu atoms. Preferred Features: Steps (a), (b) and (c) are repeated.
