The invention concerns a multiband receiver to receive signals from at least a first and second radio frequency band. The signals of the first radio frequency band are filtered by a first filter (1) and than downconverted using a mixer (2) to a first intermediate frequency. The radio frequency signals of the second frequency band are filtered by a filter (4) and downconverted by a mixer (5) to a second intermediate frequency that is different from the first intermediate frequency.
