PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychloroprene latex composition excellent in color fastness to light and an aqueous adhesive prepared by using the same. SOLUTION: This latex composition contains a chloroprene polymer, zinc oxide, and a hydrotalcite compound. Preferably, the hydrotalcite compound is hydrotalcite. The aqueous adhesive is prepared by using the composition.
