<p>The invention relates to a phenolic coating comprising a matrix which has been impregnated with an alkaline resin composition containing a resol with a molar ratio of formaldehyde/phenol in the range of 1 - 3 an ester, its derivative or a mixture of these in an amount of about 0,4 - 5,0 %, calculated for liquid resin. and that the alkalinity of the resin composition exceeds 1 % calculated for liquid resin. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the phenolic coating and to the use of the coating for coating various board products, for gluing other coatings, veneers and thin cellulose-based sheets on board product and/or metal bases, as a base layer for other coatings, as laminating material, in the manufacture of tubes and/or various cells.</p> |
