PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow major components of existing (conventional) LT and NT to be appropriated as they are with respect to the inter LT-NT long distance transmission system and its device and to efficiently realize inter LT-NT long distance digital transmission for each channel. SOLUTION: In this inter LT-NT long distance transmission system of a data transmission system where a subscriber side network terminator(NT) 30 containing a terminal equipment(TE) and a station side network terminator (LT) 50 are interconnected through a 2-wire type metallic subscriber line 1, the NT 30 increases both a transmission level of a main signal to the LT 50 and a reception level of the signal from the LT 50, local power such as commercial input power is used for power supply to the NT 30 and the TE, a remote power from the metallic subscriber line 1 is terminated with a resistor of a small resistance and the excess remote power from the LT 50 is diverted to a line loss of the metallic subscriber line 1 so as to attain the extension of the metallic subscriber line 1. |
