PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which extends the service life of a process cartridge. SOLUTION: A device is composed of a process cartridge 103, a carrying screw (waste-toner carrying means) 10, and a waste-toner box 1, wherein the process cartridge 103 is free to be detached from a device main body 100 and has a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 103d, a developing device (developing means) 103b, a transfer electrifier (transfer means) 103c, and a cleaner (cleaning means) 11. In the above arrangement, the toner box 1 is made detachable from the device main body 100, and the direction in which it is detached is made almost perpendicular (the direction of the arrow E) to the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum 103d. Thus, by replacing the waste-toner box 1 full of waste toner with a new one, the process cartridge 103 can be used as it is. |
