PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open/close a hood front side and to kick-up/bind a rear end with a compact mechanism without any backlash by providing a kickingup mechanism operated according to the output of clash detection when the binding of a hood rear end of a hinge mechanism is released by a force generated when an obstacle clashes with a hood front end. SOLUTION: With a rear end 5b bound in a fixed position in a car body side by left and right hinge mechanisms 6, a hood 5 is supported so as to be freely rotated as a fulcrum. This hinge mechanism 6 releases binding in the car body side according to a backward movement caused by a specified load, and a front end 5a is locked in a closed state in the car body by a hood locking mechanism 7. A clash detecting means is provided with a bumper sensor 9 for detecting the clashing of a bumper 4 with an obstacle, and a hood sensor 79. A controller 10 outputs an operation signal according to the detection output thereof, and thus the rear end 5b of the hood 5 is kicked up. Also, during non- clashing, the front side of the hood 5 is opened/closed in upper and lower directions by using the hinge mechanism 6 as a fulcrum. |
