PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to make ease of transmission operations without caring about an abbreviation key number by operating an abbreviation key to which an image is attached. SOLUTION: A read means 101 reads an image two-dimensionally and an ink printer 116 records the read image with reduction. This output image is attached to an abbreviation key that is provided to an operation panel section 114, can register a telephone number of a prescribed destination and has an attached face, and a number registration means 110 registering a telephone number registers the telephone number to the abbreviation key. Transmission operations are simply conducted by operating the abbreviation key while observing the attached image.
