PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline storage battery superior in workability, and electrode characteristics by eliminating the occurrence of secondary particles resulting from the aggregation of powders in paste so as to heighten the dispersiveness of respective powders, in the paste comprising active material powder, a powder-like conduction auxiliary, and a dispersion medium. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, 20 kg of 15 mm average particle diameter zirconium balls are added to per 100 kg of active material powder in paste prepared from nickel hydroxide powder, cobalt hydroxide powder, cobalt oxide powder, and water, and are stirred for two hours. Thereby, the respective powders in the paste are kept in an independently dispersed state in water, and are filled into a porous substrate so as to manufacture a positive electrode. |
