PIROXICAM-CONTAINING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOSITIONS FOR TOPICAL USE, METHOD OF SOLUBILIZATION OF PIROXICAM

FIELD: medicine, pharmacy, cosmetology. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises piroxicam taken at an effective anti-inflammatory amount and tetrahydroxypropylethylenediamine at amount sufficient for solubilization of piroxicam and C2-6-ethylene glycol or a mixture of these glycols. Glycols are taken at sufficient amount to prevent stickiness of the composition and provide its wetting. The composition has, wt.-%: carbomer 0.2-2; C2-4-alkanol 30-60 and water - up to 100%. Invention claims also a method of solubilization of piroxicam that includes its mixing with tetrahydroxypropylethylenediamine taken at amount sufficient for the solubilization. Invention claims also the composition containing piroxicam and tetrahydroxypropyl- -ethylenediamine taken at amount sufficient for solubilization of piroxicam. Invention ensures to obtain the more stable piroxicam-containing gel compositions which do not form spherules and salt on perspired skin. They are transparent.
