摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable proper defrosting by combining a hot gas bypass defrosting system and a reverse defrosting system, and besides, varying the hot gas bypass defrosting time, in an air conditioner adopting a hot gas bypass defrosting system. SOLUTION: A heating operation, an outdoor machine controller 11 detects the temperature (heat exchange temperature) of an outdoor heat exchanger, and when this exchange temperature comes to a specified value (defrosting operation value) or under, it opens a solenoid valve 6 provided in a bypass pipe to start the defrosting by hot gas bypass defrosting system, and also it detects the discharge temperature of a compressor 1 by the detection signal from a discharge temperature detector 13, and decides hot gas bypass defrosting time from the tape of an inside memory 11a, according to this discharge temperature, and sets it in an inside timer 11b. After time up (decided hot gas bypass defrosting time) of the inside timer 11b, the bypass defrosting system is switched to a reverse defrosting system which lets the refrigerant of this refrigeration cycle flow reversely.
