PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of the reflection type liquid crystal display device which is improved in display quality. SOLUTION: For the manufacture of the reflection type liquid crystal display device constituted by forming reflection electrodes 38 as display pixels reflecting incident light from one of a couple of substrates arranged opposite each other across a liquid crystal layer and lead-around electrodes for applying a voltage for display to the respective reflection electrodes 38 through connection parts on the liquid-crystal-layer side surface of the other substrate and also forming a common electrode with light transmissivity over the entire liquid-crystal-layer side of the former substrate, the area of the latter substrate except the connection parts between the lead-around electrodes and reflection electrodes 38 is exposed through light shield means arrayed so that patterns corresponding to projection parts are not formed at the connection parts. Namely, this manufacture includes a process for forming the protrusions 42a of resin in array, a process for rounding and smoothing the corners of the protrusions 42a by thermally treating the projection parts, and a process for forming the reflection electrodes 38 in a predetermined area on an insulating film 42 partially over the connection area so that adjacent reflection electrodes 38 are mutually at intervals. |
