摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize two-way communication with a center node without arranging a light source in a local node by permitting the center node to wavelength- multiplex an optical signal whose wavelength is λ1 -λn and non-modulated light whose wavelength is λn+1 -λ2n so as to transmit it. SOLUTION: A center node 10 is connected to local nodes 20-l to 20-n in a ring form through an optical fiber 1. Specified two wavelengths λi and λn+1 are allocated to the local nodes 20-i ((i) is 1-n) and the center node 10 and the respective local nodes 20-i communicate one another with the allocated wavelengths. Communication among the local nodes 20-i is executed through the center node 10. The light signal whose wavelength is λi and non-modulated light whose wavelength is λn+1 are wavelength-multiplexed and transmitted to the local node 20-i from the center node 10. The respective local nodes 20-i receive the light signal of the wavelength λi and modulates the non-modulated light of the wavelength λn+1 so as to transmit it.
