PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a correction rate of image data of an original along a carrying direction with a simple processing without the need for a special member. SOLUTION: While sending image data obtained by reading an original to an image output device, a timer measures an elapsed time after a tip of the original is sensed by a sensor 72 till a tail end of the original is sensed by the sensor 72, then a correction rate is calculated by applying the elapsed time, a carrying speed of the original and a length of the original in the carrying direction depending on the size to equation (1), and the correction rate is sent to the image output device. The image output device corrects an error of received image data in the carrying direction based on the received correction rate, and outputs an image based on image data without an error after the correction.
