PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the balance correction of a rotary polygon mirror. SOLUTION: The driving part of a rotary polygon mirror 1 is an inner rotor- type motor where a rotor 5 is arranged on the inner side of a stator 7. The stator core 7a of the stator 7 is fixed on a motor substrate 6 through three spacers 11 and the spacers 11 form a gap whose height is not less than 5 mm between a stator coil 7b and the motor substrate 6. A dispenser D is inserted, through the gap, into the motor and a weight for balance correction 10 is adhered to the balance groove 9 of the rotor 5.
