The electric motor rotor pad bearing uses pads (40), each mounted to oscillate on an external surface of the bearing support. The pad bearing supports a rotor with an internal surface of revolution. The external surface of the bearing support is fixed to provide an external sliding surface for each of the bearings with respect to the internal surface of revolution (23) of the rotor.
