The present invention relates to a sulfonated polyester resin having a sulfo group, and an easily dyeing polyester fiber, an antibacterial material and an antistatic material which can be used for various types of cloth, building materials and the like. The sulfonated polyester resin is prepared by treating a polyester resin with anhydrous sulfuric acid. The easily dyeing polyester fiber comprises the sulfonated polyester resin, the antibacterial material and the antistatic material comprise the sulfonated polyester resin and an organic base bonded with the sulfo group. The antibacterial material and the antistatic material are used as a fabric, a cloth, knitted goods, cottony goods and the like, and the antibacterial material is used as a sheet, a film and the like.
