PURPOSE:To enhance acceleration responsiveness by providing the first valve plate part of a semicircular shape in relation to a fuel nozzle opened to an intake passage in such a position as to be confronted with the fuel nozzle when the valve is closed, and opening the second valve plate part of a semicircular shape when the opening of the first valve plate part exceeds a prescribed one. CONSTITUTION:In relation to subfuel nozzles 3' opened to the intake passage 2 of a carburetor 1, the first valve plate part 6 of a semicircular shape is provided in such a position as to be confronted with the subfuel nozzles when the valve is closed. The first valve plate part 5 is fixed to hollow valve shafts 10, 11, and is released by operating a connecting lever 18 from the outside. A coil spring 17 is provided between the end part of the hollow valve shaft 10 and the flange 16 of a small diameter valve shaft 12 which is pierced through into the hollow valve shaft 10 and on which the second valve plate part 6 of a semicircular shape is fixed. When the first valve plate part 5 opens more than a prescribed opening, the diameter of the coil spring 17 contracts to tighten and turn the small diameter valve shaft 12, so that the second valve plate part 6 is also turned and begins to open.
