Both roll sections (19.1, 19.2; 20.1, 20.2) are rotatable independently of one another. Both adjacent bearings (21.1, 22.1; 23.1, 24.1) are of a short, blocked type. Each roll section is provided with separate coolant entry and exit connections. Roll cooling takes place in their outer shell regions. Both inner and outer bearings of the rolls are releasably attached (with use of distance strips of appropriate thickness) to carrier elements joined to the support frame (2).
