<p>A catalyst for hydrogenation treatment having high activity for both desulfurization and denitrification and a method for hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil. A catalyst for hydrogenation treatment comprising a silica-alumina carrier and, carried thereon, at least one metal component having hydrogenation activity, wherein (1) the catalyst has a silica content of 2 to 40 wt.%, based on the total weight of the carrier, (2) in a spectrum obtained by nuclear magnetic resonance analysis (29Si-NMR), (i) the area of a peak at -80 ppm is 10 % or more relative to the total area of all peaks, and (ii) the total area of the peaks at -80 ppm, -86 ppm and -92 ppm is 20 % or more relative to the total area of all peaks, a catalyst for hydrogenation treatment comprising a silica-alumina carrier containing a specific amount of a third component and, carried thereon, at least one metal component having hydrogenation activity, and having a specific pore structure, and a method for hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil, characterized in that the hydrocarbon oil is contacted with hydrogen in the presence of any of said catalysts for hydrogenation treatment.</p> |
