A method and apparatus for treating waste water comprise atomizing untreated waste water in order to make it into atomized water; injecting thereinto ozone from an ozone generator; mixing the atomized water with ozone gas to produce a gaseous-atomizing waste water; passing the gaseous-atomizing waste water through an ion generator which is a strong magnetic field formed of natural magnets to cause oxidation-reduction reaction therein; generating a mixed liquid containing water, gas and other materials; and after pressuring thereto, leading the mixed liquid to a pressured reaction tank, in which the materials in the waste water can be separated by different specific weight, thus the waste water can be purified.
