Luminous gas discharge display

A removable cross tube (36) interconnects isolation tubes (28) welded to electrodes (18) and in turn connects electrodes and channels (16). An hermetically sealed display is evacuated by evacuation tube to remove oxide film formed on electrodes. After removing oxide film cross tubes are sealed by inert gas. The channel (16) formed by acid rotting defines gas discharge path and terminates at opening (22) of back plate (14) which is arranged opposing a front plate (12). After applying light emitting phosphor to the display (10) by spray deposition silk screening, the plates (12,14) are sealed together using a low temperature sealing media (26).
