PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dispersive stability of a coloring component or a film quality modifying component by adding a compound shown by a structural formula in at least one layer of a thermal recording layer and a protection layer. SOLUTION: A compound expressed by formula I is contained in at least a thermal recording layer and a protection layer. In the formula, R is a hydrophobic group, P is a polymer containing at least one of structural units A, B, and C in formula II and having a degree of polymerization of 10-3500, and (n) is 1 or 2. In the formula II, R<1> shows -H or a 1-6C alkyl group, R<2> shows -H or 1-10C alkyl group, and R<3> shows -H or -CH3 , R<1> shows -H, -CH3 , -CH2 COOH or -CH, X shows -H, -COOH or -CONH2 , Y shows -COOH, -SO3 H, -OSO3 H, -CH3 SO3 H, -CONHC(CH3 )2 CH2 SO3 H, or -CONHCH2 CH2 CH2 N<+> (CH3 )3 CL. Addition of a compound expressed by formula I to a thermal recording layer can improve the coating property. |
