PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the attachability detachability and workability of a band by plastically deforming the annular band body, a fitting the band body to the rolling surface of a race in a rolling bearing, making one pair of lips integrally formed with the band body in close contact with the edge of an annular groove, sealing and masking the race. SOLUTION: On the inner peripheral surface of the annular hard body 4, one pair of lips 6, and desirably, on the outer peripheral surface, a handle and integrally formed with an elastic material of rubber, resin, etc., to obtain the making band 1. The diameter of the band body 4 is enlarged through the handle 7 and the band 1 is fitted to the inner race 2 arranging the annular groove 3 where the rolling body of the rolling bearing is rolled, and the lips 6 are elastically pushed to the edge 5 of the annular groove 3. In this way, the rolling bearing is masked with the band body 4. The formation of the coating film on the rolling surface of the annular groove 3 unnecessary to the treatment is prevented by applying a rust preventive treatment to the rolling bearing in this state. After this treatment, the diameter of the band body 4 is again enlarged through the handle 7, and the band is detached from the inner race 2. |
