<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin-pregnated endless belt for a paper making process which has impermeability for water, oil or other liquid, has uniform smoothness in at least one side of itself and has a uniform thickness, wear resistance and a required hardness characteristics and to provide the resultant belt product. SOLUTION: This belt is a resin-impregnated belt 16 for a shoe-type continuous nipping press or a polishing press and has an endless shape of a base fabric having an inside face 28 and an outside face 30, and a machine direction(MD) and a cross direction(CD). The base fabric has MD-structural components placed at a comparatively separated interval and having a coarse structure, and has CD-structural components. The MD-structural components intersect CD-structural components at many crossings which are mutually coupled by a mechanical, chemical or thermal coupling means. Polymeric resin is coated on the inside face 28 of the base fabric, and is impregnated into the base fabric to give it impermeability for liquid and to form a layer on the face 28. The coating is smooth and gives a uniform thickness to the belt.</p> |
