PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly change over the shift stage and prevent a shift shock by feeding a current according to throttle input to a drive motor. SOLUTION: In a drive controller for an electric motorcycle, a control unit 18 is functioned as a motor current control means and a shift control means. The function as the motor current control means allows to find a current command value according to a throttle opening based on an incorporated current command value map and feed the current according to the current command value to the drive motor 50. In a decelerating drive area where the throttle opening is closed from the motor rotation speed, for example, a high state 5000 rpm, a regenerative current flows and it is so controlled as to generate a so-called engine brake. In accelerating and decelerating, the drive torque and the regenerative torque are controlled in changing over to the shift stage according to the throttle input by the actuator so that the shifting is smoothly implemented and the shift shock can be prevented. |
