PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily obtain the subject compound useful as a synthetic raw material for medicines, especially antithrombotic agents and having high optical purity by reacting a readily available meso compound used as a raw material with a phenolic derivative and an optically active additive. SOLUTION: (A) A meso compound of formula I [R<1> is an acyl, an alloyl, an alkyl, an aryl, etc.; (n) is 0-4] is reacted with (B) a phenolic derivative and (C) an optically active additive (preferably phosphorous compound) to provide (D) the objective cycloalkene derivative of formula II (A, B and E are each independently H, a halogen, an alkyl, an aryl, etc.). The component D is further converted to a phenoxycycloalkene derivative by reactions such as hydrolysis reaction and Koen reaction and the derivative is subjected to cyclic reaction by using a metal-or an organic metal reagent. The derivative can readily be induced to a cycloalkyl[b]benzofuran of formula III (G and L are each independently H, a halogen, etc.), by the above reactions. Thereby, the objective product can be provided by using a simple organic synthetic technique. |
