PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration of a recording device by minimizing the counterforce and the angular moment generated in the middle of the increase and decrease of the speed of carriages. SOLUTION: A recording device is provided with three carriages 4, 5 and 6 moving reciprocatingly in parallel one another and driving sections 7, 8 and 9 driving respective three carriages. The carriages 4, 5 and 6 are provided with ink jet heads 1, 2 and 3, and the carriages 4, 5 and 6 are so driven by the driving sections 7, 8 and 9 as to minimize the total sum of counterforce generated by driving the carriages 4, 5 and 6. The carriages 4, 5 and 6 are so disposed as to minimize the moment around an optional point during driving the carriages 4, 5 and 6. |
